Tune into RTE’s ’10 Things To Know’ on Monday 7th to learn about Hydrogen with MaREI’s Rory Monaghan
Dr Rory Monaghan, a Funded Investigator in MaREI, the SFI Centre for Energy, Climate and Marine Research, will feature in RTÉ One’s popular science show, “10 Things To Know About” at 8:30pm on Monday, 7th December, which will focus on hydrogen energy.
Rory, who leads the NUI Galway Ryan Institute’s Energy Research Centre and is the Lecturer of Energy Systems Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at NUI Galway, will describe how hydrogen could help Ireland make full use of its world-class renewable energy resources. He will explain the potential for hydrogen in decarbonising the hardest parts of Irish society, like heavy vehicles, heat for industry, and energy storage, and how his team’s research in national and EU projects is helping to make this a reality.
