Overview

Prof. Wheeler holds the Geology Chair at UCC, is the Head of Geology and Head of the School of Biological, Earth & Environmental Science and Marine Spoke co-leader in the Irish Centre for Research in Applied Geosciences (iCRAG). He is a recognised international expert on marine benthic processes and the geology of cold-water coral reefs, with over 70 international peer-reviewed publications and a h-index of 31.
