All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance 2022
The All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance 2022 Forum was co-hosted by the United States and Brazil, in collaboration with the European Commission, over two events between May and July 2022.
Outcomes from the Scientific Event were highlighted at the Ministerial Event in Washington, D.C. which took place over the 12-14 of July, and also featured ministerial interventions and the signing of the All-Atlantic Ocean Research & Innovation Alliance Declaration.
MaREI Director Brian O Gallachoir was in attendance where he introduced the new EU Marine SABRE research project (coordinated by MaREI) focusing on biodiversity resilience and ecosystem sustainability in marine environments at the AAORIA research workshop at Johns Hopkins | SAIS (School of Advanced International Studies).
Later, he attended a reception hosted by Ambassador Dan Mulhall and the embassy of Ireland, USA which celebrated 10 years of Cross-Atlantic diplomacy and science that culminated in the historic Ministerial signing of the All-Atlantic Ocean Research & Innovation Declaration.
Looking forward to introducing the new EU #MarineSABRE research project (coordinated by @MaREIcentre) focusing on biodiversity resilience and ecosystem sustainability in marine environments at the #AAORIA research workshop at @SAISHopkins https://t.co/sGEJF6rG3u
