UCC rises in the QS World University Rankings
- UCC up 11 places to 292 of the 2,963 evaluated institutions in the 20th Edition of the QS World University Rankings. The final published ranking has been limited to the top 1,503 universities.
- UCC ranked 46th in the world for the advancement of sustainability.
- UCC strong performance across the nine indicators used to rank the universities with particular strengths for sustainability and internationalisation.
University College Cork (UCC) has risen eleven places in one of the world’s leading education rankings.
The 2023/2024 edition of the QS World University Rankings, released today by global higher education analyst Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) sees UCC placed 292 in the world.
QS rated UCC highly across the board, with particular strengths for sustainability and internationalisation. UCC is ranked at 46 in the world for the advancement of sustainability and 152 for its international academic staff within this independent assessment.
The ranking examines the universities against indicators relating to academic reputation, employer reputation, internationalisation, teaching, research, sustainability as well as the employment outcomes of the graduates.
This year’s QS rankings is the largest ever, with 1,503 universities across 104 locations, making the final published listing – an increase on the 1,418 universities that made the final published ranking last year’.
