OVERVIEW
Dr Vahid Fakhari is a research fellow in the Large Structure Research Group of the School of Engineering, University of Galway. His research interests are Wind Turbines, Solar Trackers, Energy Harvesters, Vibration Isolation, Mechatronics, Control and Robotics.
CURRENT ACTIVITIES
Dr Vahid Fakhari is currently working on the CRIMSON project and focuses on the large-scale structural testing of components of a tidal energy device that are made from composite materials. Moreover, he is a member of the HAWK project for the long-term performance assessment of wing structures.
BACKGROUND
Dr Vahid Fakhari received his BSc, MSc and PhD degrees in mechanical engineering from the Amirkabir University of Technology in 2005, 2007, and 2013, respectively. Since 2015, he has been working as an assistant professor in the Faculty of Mechanical and Energy Engineering at Shahid Beheshti University. Currently, he is a research fellow in the Large Structure Research Group at the University of Galway.
