Irish Transport Research Network Conference
This conference is an opportunity for academia and industry professionals to promote, share and discuss issues and developments in the field of transport.
Keynote speakers include:
Professor Hannah E Daly, University College Cork, MaREI, Environmental Research Institute.
Title: “Keeping the transport sector within its carbon budget”.
Hannah Daly is a Professor in Sustainable Energy at University College Cork. She leads a team of researchers within the SFI MaREI Centre on achieving rapid, sustainable climate mitigation pathways. Her work informs policy, the media, and wide audiences, including through her monthly column in the Irish Times. She also coordinates and delivers four academic modules and was a winner of the 2021 UCC President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Anne Graham, CEO , National Transport Authority.
Title: Key developments in sustainable mobility – An NTA perspective.
Anne Graham is Chief Executive Officer with the National Transport Authority. The Authority is responsible for the provision, regulation and integration of public transport services, the provision of supporting infrastructure for sustainable transport and for driving the greater use of sustainable transport as a mode of choice. She previously worked with the Authority as Director of Public Transport Services on the regulation and provision of public transport services nationally. Prior to joining the NTA, she worked in the Dublin local authorities as a chartered civil engineer in the drainage, roads and traffic divisions; as a project manager on the redevelopment of Dublin’s O’Connell Street area and as an Area Manager in the South-West area of the city.
