MaREI represented at the 15th Chinese Renewable Energy Conference (CREC 2023)
This event was held at Taihu International Expo Center, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province on 2-4, November 2023. Located in the centre of the Yangtze River Delta, Wuxi is the innovation base of China’s renewable technology development. Recently, the renewable energy industry in Wuxi has made rapid development, and with the enhanced capabilities of R&D and innovation, it has become the competitive industry of this city.
More than 200 speakers, 2500 attendees, and 400 exhibitors from more than 20 countries attended this event including Xue Ning who represented MaREI research. Xue is working on economically viable pathways for biomethane based on novel and existing digestion systems. Her current work focuses on the integration of microbial electrolysis cells with anaerobic digestion for advanced biofuels/chemicals production. Her primary research goal is to integrate electro-methanogenesis with AD to increase biomethane conversion as part of her work within the Circular Economy, Energy, and Environmental Systems (CEEES) group.
