BlueMissionAA: Best practices in citizen engagement and knowledge transfer in support of Mission Ocean objectives
This session will share preliminary findings from the BlueMissionAA report “Best practices in citizen engagement and knowledge transfer in support of Mission Ocean objectives” (forthcoming). This is a reflective report aiming to harness lessons learned from citizen engagement in Mission Ocean and will examine case studies of citizen engagement (to include citizen assemblies, workshops, and surveys), examining key learnings from practitioners involved in these engagements and best practices which can be applied in other contexts. This report is situated within Work Package 5 of BlueMissionAA which focuses on Citizen Engagement & Knowledge Transfer. Beginning with an overview of the importance of citizen engagement and knowledge transfer, this session will give insight into the best practices and key learnings in how to implement citizen engagement to ensure the best possible outcomes for citizen participation.
