OVERVIEW

Dr. Bruton graduated from UCC in 1992 with a BSc degree in Chemistry and completed an MSc and PhD in Electrochemistry. Dr. Bruton joined Intel in 1996 as a process engineer, where she held a range of senior positions, including long term assignments to sites in the US until 2007. Dr. Bruton completed an M.Eng.Sc. in Sustainable Energy in 2008, and worked as a Research Fellow in SERG until 2013, where she secured and project-managed National and EU funding in Sustainable Infrastructure and Energy Optimisation. Dr. Bruton successfully managed the Phase 1 MaREI Research Centre Proposal and currently serves as the MaREI Centre Manager.
