Prof. Weaver was appointed as Bernal Chair of Composite Materials and Structures at UL in 2016, leading a cutting-edge research programme which aims to position Ireland as an international hub for advancing products and services in the Composite Materials sector. He has worked with design aspects of composite materials, for over 25 years, working closely with industry. Recent research focuses on morphing composite structures using novel concepts for composites structures, winning numerous awards for his work.
