OVERVIEW
With over ten years of experience in electrical engineering, Soheil is deeply passionate about crafting innovative and sustainable solutions to complex challenges in power and energy systems. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD at University College Cork (UCC) on an SFI-funded project, where he’s exploring the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence for advanced energy management. His recent work has focused on modeling, simulating, and optimizing battery systems to enhance performance and reliability. Previously, as a Research Scholar at TUBITAK, he collaborated with an international team to design and test cutting-edge optimization techniques for smart grid planning. His expertise in mathematical optimization, heuristic algorithms, and distribution grid analysis enabled him to develop and implement efficient, reliable distribution networks powered by renewable energy sources. Throughout his career, he has authored several papers for top-tier journals and conferences, and he holds multiple certifications in related fields.
CURRENT ACTIVITIES
At present, Soheil is undertaking a PhD at University College Cork (UCC) as part of an SFI-funded project, focusing on leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence to optimize energy management strategies.
