UCC wishes to appoint to the role of Research & Innovation Manager within the College of Science, Engineering and Food Science.  The College of Science, Engineering and Food Science, with approximately 500 academic and research staff, is a significant driver of research activity at University College Cork.  With an emphasis on excellence in research outputs and impact and research led academic programmes, activity takes place across the nine academic units and the research centres and institutes that the College leads or plays a significant role in, including the Environmental Research Institute, the APC Microbiome Institute, and Tyndall National Institute. The College plays a significant role in the leadership and activity of a number of SFI research centres including MaREI, INSIGHT, AMBER, CONNECT, LERO and SSPC. 
 
The College now wants to take its research activity to the next level by appointing a Research Manager into a senior role within the College management team. This is an exciting and pivotal role which will give the successful candidate an opportunity to shape and drive the research ambition of the College and play a vital role in the achievement of the University’s strategic objectives.
