SELKIE O&M Tool Workshop

This SELKIE workshop is a brief intensive training session on the use of the SELKIE O&M and logistics tool for wave and tidal energy projects. The session will provide a working demonstration of the tool and give participants opportunities to engage and ask questions. The workshop also aims to encourage the dissemination of the tool among potential end users.

The Workshop will cover:

• What the open-access SELKIE O&M tool will do and where to find the documents and the tool in GitHub and on the SELKIE website including relevant videos
• How the tool can be used to model a tidal or a wave energy farm to estimate O&M costs, energy production and availability (through the wave/tidal case study)
• How to identify the bottlenecks of the O&M costs that can be investigated using SELKIE tool through scenario creations (this involve participants) for example:
  • Type of vessels
  • Change the failure rates or times to repair of one or two critical component’s failure rate, change port distance

This event takes place on December 9th, 2022 from 12 noon to 1.30 pm.
