Six academics at UCC appear on the list of Ireland’s ‘Best Engineering and Technology Scientists’

University College Cork has six academics named on the list of ‘Best Engineering and Technology Scientists‘ in Ireland.

This includes MaREI Directors Jerry D. Murphy and Brian Ó Gallachóir, Funded Investigator Gregorio Iglesias, and Principal Invesitogor Gordon Lightbody.

The 3rd edition of Research.com ranking of the best scholars in the arena of Engineering and Technology relies os data combined from multiple data sources including OpenAlex and CrossRef. The bibliometric data for estimating the citation-based metrics were acquired on the 21st of November 2023. Position in the ranking is based on a scholar’s D-index (Discipline H-index), which only includes publications and citation metrics for an examined discipline.
