Vikram Pakrashi in MaREI@UCD appointed Director of UCD Centre for Mechanics

Congratulations to Vikram Pakrashi in MaREI@UCD who has been appointed as Director of the newly launched UCD Centre for Mechanics

The UCD Centre for Mechanics will strive to carry out fundamental and rigorous work on solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, soft matter, computation and dynamical systems. It brings engineers, physicists and mathematicians closer, along with other relevant disciplines and is supported by several academic and industrial entities.

The focus of the Centre will remain in Low Technological Readiness Level (TRL) ideas, in both numerical and experimental aspects. This is the first Centre of its kind in Ireland on this topic.
