WindEurope is heading to Bilbao for our Annual Event, on 20-22 March 2024

Join X-ROTOR on Wednesday the 20th of March to learn more about a radical offshore wind turbine concept.

X-ROTOR is a research project under the EU Horizon 2020 programme, which is working to develop a disruptive new offshore wind turbine concept. 

It will develop a highly innovative wind turbine design to directly target cost of energy reduction and scalability of wind turbines. The project aims to take the X-ROTOR concept from its current technology readiness level of TRL 1 to TRL 3. In doing so, the goal is to determine the X-ROTOR’s economic, social and environmental impacts and confirm the potential for a levelised costs of energy (LCOE) reduction of 20-30%.
