Women in Energy

This event is being organised by the Dublin Energy Agency Codema, and aims to reconnect with all women across Ireland working in the energy sector.
It will feature an in-person chat with some insightful panellists who will share their experiences and will discuss what is needed to encourage more women to work in the energy sector and overcome imposter syndrome as they progress in their careers.
Speakers on the day include:
- Claudia Hihetah, a PhD researcher at MaREI hosted at University College Cork. Claudia’s research focuses on investigating the lived experiences of energy poverty in order to advance solutions to this problem. Her PhD focuses on “Developing effective policy responses to address energy poverty and increase energy justice.”
- Dr Ciara Ahern, Senior Lecturer of Building Engineering within the College of Engineering and Built Environment in TU Dublin and a Funded Investigator at MaREI.
- Conall Boland, Sustainability Team Lead, RPS
- Aoife McElwain, Certified Life and Career Coach and Author of “Slow at Work”. Aoife will give a motivational talk on overcoming imposter syndrome.
